Fluitsma & Van Tijn is a duo of music producers. They are Jochem Fluitsma (1958), who studied guitar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and Eric van Tijn (1956), who studied piano at the Conservatory.
Together they wrote many songs for a big number of Dutch artists, like The Scene, Status Quo, Mai Tai, Henk Westbroek, Guus Meeuwis, Loïs Lane, De Kast, Willeke Alberti, the Dolly Dots, Hind en Mathilde Santing.
In 1996 they scored, unexpectedly, a number 1 hit in the National Hit Parade Top 40 with above song, they just wrote for a tv-commercial for a financial bank: above song '15 Million people'/'15 Miljoen mensen'.

The song (in the commercial just about a minute long) became so populair, that they released it as a single, singing it themselves. It has been voted into the Top 2000 (traditionally broadcasted on the radio the last week of the year) 13 times, as high as place 572/2000.
Eric van Tijn also was member of the jury in Idols and X factor. Jochem Fluitsma took care of the life music in Idols.
